The front entrance of this completely updated casita, has a private, adobe and latilla- fenced courtyard, mature xeriscaping and a covered portal. This sophisticated one bedroom floor plan features art by original Taos artists Ernest Martin Hennings, Joseph Fleck and Gustave Baumann among other art, Navajo textiles and Navajo WPA era hand carved furniture. It sits on solid wood planks, where your daily cares dissipate beneath hand carved vigas. The kitchen appliances are well appointed and complemented by an artistic tiled backsplash and the adjoining bathroom features an antique Talavera sink. From the dining room pass through French doors to outdoor living on the back courtyard, where you'll find more gardens, a large hot tub, outdoor seating and barbecue for grilling your meals. Just a thirty minute drive to world class Taos Ski Valley, an 8 minute walk to town center, extensive local mountain biking, hiking and fishing opportunities makes this an ideal location. This property is next door neighbor with La Loma Chica, so if you are traveling with friends or family and both properties are available, rent them both and have your privacy while you are next door neighbors during your visit to Taos! Important Note: This property is a "no-pet allowed" short term rental and any sign of pets will result in forfeiting of your security deposit. This property is a 31 minimum day rental. La Loma Plaza is a 10 minute walk from this condo offering guests local shopping. The condo is a 35 minute drive to the Taos mountain for skiing, a 10 minute walk to the town of Taos, and easy access to hiking and biking trails. Our software automatically discounts 10% for weekly stays and 20% for monthly stays and our posted prices is our best price, so please do not message us asking for a "special discounted rate." The locks, the cleaners and our maintenance personnel all work on an automated schedules based on our published check-in time and check out times. In addition, we only have a narrow 5 hour window to prepare the property between the posted checkout time and the posted check-in time. For these reasons early check in or late checkout is no longer free and "may" be able to be purchased at a rate of $20/hour prior to check-in time, or $20/hour after listed checkout time. If there are any issues upon arrival or during your stay, guest is required to contact the host and give them the opportunity to address any issues before leaving a negative review or asking for a discounted stay. We no longer make exceptions to the published cancellation policy for any reason so if you want to be extra safe should you need to cancel, please purchase trip insurance.
