Camps Bay has typically always been tourists no.1 holiday destination in Cape Town due to its Village feel, incredible beach known for its fine white sand, fringed by palm trees and the famous Camps Bay strip. Behind the stunning beach with its natural rock swimming pool and views of The Twelve Apostles, there's a selection of restaurants, mellow cafes and cocktail bars overlooking the promenade/strip. A stroll to the beach and a bottle of rosé at the Bungalow or Caprice is more the order of the day! Camps Bay offers a convenient location only 15 minutes drive to the city centre, 20 minutes from the V&A Waterfront, 30 minutes from the airport, 40 minutes from the Cape Winelands and 60 minutes from Cape Point. Great for families with young children, there are no steps to the beach and refreshments are on your doorstep. Perfect for families looking for a holiday by the ocean. The only downside of Camps Bay is that it can be incredibly windy at times and exceptionally busy over Christmas and New Year. If you are staying over Peak season, Boxing Day & New Years day in particular can be incredibly busy and crowded on the beaches and strip.
