In addition, the home sits adjacent to the Mineral Belt Trail, and across the street from the historic Ice Palace Park. Leadville is best known for all the winter activities like skiing at Cooper Mountain off highway 24 or Copper Mountain off highway 91, both are which a 30 minute drive. Other winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing and winter ATVs! In the summer you can enjoy many outdoor hikes, the Leadville train ride, ATVing, electric bike rentals and so much more! Parking: Two parking spots next to house; on street parking There is an additional pet fee if you are bringing a pet (1 pet max) - $70 + tax. If it snows more than several inches, look for snow removal signs to make sure you don't violate any temporary parking rules. Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants. Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.
